In-Class chess curriculum started at PS 276 in Battery Park City! 8 classes with Kindergarteners followed by 8 classes with 1st graders followed by 2nd graders all the way through to the 5th grade. PS 276 is buzzing with chess! It always surprises me how fearless 5 years olds are when they jump into the complexities of chess– and with such ease. Teaching in-class chess curriculum is my favorite as I get to work with great teachers who have already created the dynamics necessary for a child to effectively learn.
